Administrator Gateway Project

The Administrator Gateway project was one of the very first projects I undertook when I worked for InstantPresenter. The Administrator Gateway was a fully encompassing customer management tool meant for use with support and sales representatives. It allowed representatives to perform all of their daily tasks. The Administrator Gateway allowed for anything from allowing a support professional to log notes from their last phone call to manually processing a payment on a customers account.

The Administrator Gateway really was the internal tool of choice for all day-to-day activities. It was used by marketing, sales, support, development, and finance representatives. Just to give you an idea of the scope of functionality this gateway brought to the table, I have compiled a list of the main tasks it allowed us to complete:

• All manual billing operations
• Creation of line items
• Creation of orders
• Charging of orders
• Account searching/filtering
• Account creation/editing
• Archiving operations (the process of making web recordings available for download)
• Creation of new sales plans
• Assigning of new subscriptions
• Upgrading/downgrading subscriptions
• Logging of information such as call notes or account changes
• Assigning of conference calling service
• Addition/deletion/editing of resellers
• Generation of daily/monthly reports such as:
• Current online users
• Status of file upload and conversions (for trouble-shooting)
• Delinquent accounts
• Invoice customers
• Recording hosting charges
• Free trial users (new sales leads)
• Reseller commissions
• Many, many more reports…
• Recording modifications
• Creation of corporate company accounts
• Much, much more…

The Administrator Gateway offered a wide variety of solutions to every day problems and tasks. The gateway was an ongoing project, a lot of maintaining and upgrading was performed throughout my employment at InstantPresenter. The importance and breadth of this project was very large, but it was also quite rewarding. I am grateful to have been part of such a project. The Administrator Gateway played an integral role in the daily lives of all the InstantPresenter staff.

Billing Customers

Search through all the customers. Filter by reseller, plan status, or free trial status.

Each customer can have subscriptions, recordings, profile information, meetings, meeting rooms, conference calling, line items, and orders

Create or edit pre-existing sales plans. Sales plans are used to create customer subscriptions.

Management still has the capability to bill customers manually for the orders due on customers accounts.
